A drink, some chicken, maybe some…
“Fantastic,” Milk said whenever she mentioned that she would join him. It was doubly so when she had added that she had come alone. Things were looking up for old Milky, or so it seemed before they all went downhill whenever he was sent into the fight against the Reapers. “Ah, comme ci comme ca. I can’t complain, Red.” He laughed a little before continuing. “It’s my last chance to really enjoy myself before I hit the meat-grinder. So I’m doing it like any enlisted man would - drink copious amounts of cheap booze and spend the night in a club talking to attractive people…ma’am.” He winked at her and slid his body a little in her direction. “I’m not sure how you officers like to spend your free time, but I don’t think it compares to this Operation Chief’s free time.” He chuckled again and shook his head before calling over the salarian barman. “Two human tequila’s, si vous plait.” The salarian nodded.
Milk handed Alana one of the shot glasses and clinked it. “Bottoms up!” He chugged it down in one. “Ah!” He groaned and shook his head violently after finishing it. “That is god-awful tequila. Utterly shocking quality.” He tapped Alana’s arm with his fist. “So what brings you down here, Red? I don’t think it could be the atmosphere of this illustrious club.”
Alana shook her head. Milk had always been one to turn on the charm, even when he was her instructor. Well, that was when they weren’t at each other’s throats about her lack of interest in long range weaponry. She just wasn’t made for that. Her skills lied within close combat. “Just because i’m an Officer, doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy dirty bars and cheap booze.” she watched him wave over the barman and order two tequila’s, one of which was swiftly handed to her. She knocked it back and made a scrunched up face after it had gone down “Christ, that is bad.”
She shuddered a little and then rose a brow at his question before smiling a little “I’ve been coming here more lately. It’s the only place where I don’t have to worry about battle tactics or looking after a squad. I needed a break.” which was the truth. It was good to get away from it all now and then. “So, where are you off to next? I heard you were being shipped out.”
